In this one of my favorite books, James Allen shows us what we already intuitively know: how changing ones’ mind-set can improve one’s circumstances — no matter how difficult– and in doing so provides us with a powerful philosophy that can and will help you transform your thoughts into concrete actions that will result in the achievement of anything that you deeply desire in your heart.
I realize that sounds rather “new age”, doesn’t it? Kind of touchy-feely-you-can-do-it stuff. But you know what? Even in James Allen’s time (and this was over half a century ago) the principles espoused in this little book you can read in one sitting were not original and were not new. The packaging is different. The voice is different. The message is the same. Almost all timeless works of personal development, the really good ones, all have the same things to say. And I’m even talking about little gems of philosophy written thousands of years ago, not just decades.
How many times do we need to hear or see truth to feel the reality of it? How many times can someone whisper in our ear or shout from the rooftops before we listen?
