Daily Motivating Quotes: Number 327

“Offer up all unkindness, all anger.
‘It takes two to make a quarrel;’ don’t be the ‘other one.’
If one is angry or unkind to you try to find out where you have acted wrongly;
and, whether you have acted wrongly or not,
do not throw back the angry word or unkind act.
Remain silent, self-contained, and kindly disposed;
and learn, by continual effort in right-doing, to have compassion upon the wrong-doer.”

James Allen (Byways To Blessedness)

Daily Motivating Quotes: Number 326

“In the middle of the stream
you are so engrossed in looking for your next stepping stone
that you don’t have the time to worry about your present footing.
Your sense of immediacy refines your focus.
Your sense of urgency compels you to act now.
Passionate goal-setters thrive on continuous movement too.”

“There will always be rain and sunshine.
Yet if we choose to hate the rain we are choosing to be miserable
for a good proportion of our lives,
not because it is raining,
but because we choose to not enjoy the fact that it is raining.”

Motivation Word: Review of As A Man Thinketh by James Allen

By Danny Welsh, http://ezinemark.com/u/danny-welsh/30030611/

The garden of our mind is cultivated intelligently by ourselves, or allowed to become polluted with the waste of the world. What kind of crop we want to consistently yield is determined by whether we focus on fostering positive, enriching, and encouraging thoughts— or allow ourselves to be ruled by our doubting, destructive and negative ones. We can either have a feast or a famine – it is up to us alone. This is the message of James Allen’s classic success booklet entitled “As a Man Thinketh.”

Literally a blueprint on how to live and how to think, specifically for those who wish their thoughts to bring them closer to the future desires they seek sooner rather than later, this little gem of a book serves as a course of action for approaching life for success. It’s recommended for salespeople, executives, entrepreneurs, really anybody who wants to get more of a feeling that they are themselves the architect of their life.

In this one of my favorite books, James Allen shows us what we already intuitively know: how changing ones’ mind-set can improve one’s circumstances — no matter how difficult– and in doing so provides us with a powerful philosophy that can and will help you transform your thoughts into concrete actions that will result in the achievement of anything that you deeply desire in your heart.

I realize that sounds rather “new age”, doesn’t it? Kind of touchy-feely-you-can-do-it stuff. But you know what? Even in James Allen’s time (and this was over half a century ago) the principles espoused in this little book you can read in one sitting were not original and were not new. The packaging is different. The voice is different. The message is the same. Almost all timeless works of personal development, the really good ones, all have the same things to say. And I’m even talking about little gems of philosophy written thousands of years ago, not just decades.

How many times do we need to hear or see truth to feel the reality of it? How many times can someone whisper in our ear or shout from the rooftops before we listen?

Listen, I don’t know much about you more than that you’re here reading my words to you. But I do know this little book has BIG power. In fact, I believe so much in this book that if you visit any of my websites and contact us requesting it, myself or someone on my staff will be happy to respond with a free gift of this amazingly powerful book.

Among the important principles you will learn when you read this success classic:

1. Harnessing the effect of thought on circumstances.

2. Channeling the effect of thought on health and body.

3. Realizing how our thoughts define and create our purpose in life.

Many would not hesitate to say that this is one of the most deeply meaningful. and influential works that has ever been produced. It has certainly been so for me. When I look at my life of today and compare it to the life I lived just a few short yesterdays ago, one of the key elements that has taken me through to the other side of success has been a mindset established along the principle that whatever I think about, I can bring about. As James Allen himself said: “As a man thinketh, so is he…”

never give up then,
for that is just the place and time for the tide to turn.”

Daily Motivating Quotes: Number 322

“Since we always move in the direction of our currently dominant thoughts,
those thoughts that we are thinking of most,
it is imperative to concentrate our thoughts on the condition we want
and expect to achieve
rather than try to move away from what we fear or don’t want.
Simply stated, winners focus on concepts of solutions,
rather than on concepts of problems.
The mind cannot concentrate on the reverse of an idea.”

Daily Motivating Quotes: Number 321

“Is that where your freedom lies –
beyond the unopened door of a golden opportunity you’ve been given?
Face your own uncertainty and do what you need to do.
Otherwise you’ll never know what opportunities you’ll lose
by your indecision and inaction.
Your dreams and goals are behind that door
- just waiting to be discovered and realized.”

“When you take responsibility for your decisions and actions,
it is likely you’ll become more open to receiving.
People will gladly give you time, money, objects,
compliments, friendships, teachings, and counselings.
When you no longer need to blame, whine and complain, or moan and groan,
you can really enjoy and appreciate the experience of giving and receiving.”

If you feel like you are going to fall,
